
Couple’s Yoga Date Night

An 85-year study at Harvard found that positive relationships are the determining factor in our overall health, happiness, and longevity. Relationships affect every area of our lives including physical health, mental well-being, feeling emotionally supported, and spiritually connected. In our fast-paced, modern world with all of its demands, it can be easy to find ourselves caught up in routine and putting relationships on the back burner. While there are many routes to cultivating healthy relationships, Couple’s Yoga offers many solutions for nurturing our relationships.
The Sanskrit word “Yoga” translates to Union. Yoga can deepen our relationship with ourselves, but takes on a really powerful meaning when partners practice together. Physical touch, breathing, working together, communicating, connecting, slowing down, and being intentional have the power to enhance and strengthen the bond with our partner. It’s also a lot of fun, and laughter is a guaranteed side effect!
In this two-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through meditation, yoga postures (with modifications for any level), massage, and connection tools that you can use over and over with your partner to deepen your relationship. Focus is less upon your ability to get into postures and more on working together with your partner. This practice will enhance your ability to communicate, on and off the mat.
This is a perfect date night activity, and this session is also great for friends, new relationships, and siblings. All levels are welcome and modifications will be offered. We highly suggest refraining from alcohol until after the workshop.

- I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension.
