Self-Myofascial Release Workshop with Amber Sexton Saturday, Jan. 28th 2pm-3:30pm
Unwind and ease muscle tension with Self Myofascial Release (SMR). Amber will guide you through a variety of techniques using therapy balls, rollers, and self massage, followed by a gentle practice to experience increased mobility and profound freedom in your body.
SMR is a great practice to add to your self-care toolbox to:
• Improve range of motion
• Release muscle tension
• Reduce muscle soreness and trigger points
• Increase blood flow to muscles
• Reduce pain
• Improve quality of sleep

About Your Host:
My yoga practice began as self-care about 15 years ago to overcome Postpartum Anxiety, and I am passionate about using Yoga, breath work, and meditation as a way to promote wellness.
When teaching, I like to balance strength and mobility with the beauty and grace of yoga asanas, and sprinkle in a little bit of playfulness. I love the adaptability of Hatha, the challenge of Yoga/Pilates Fusion, and the mindfulness of connecting body and mind to breath.
My 200 Hour Yoga Certification is from Kansas City Yoga Teacher Training’s immersive program.
When not on the mat, I enjoy being outdoors, taking walks, going on hikes, kayaking, reading, and spending time with family. My husband and I have 3 beautiful kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a fish.
