Prepare yourself for the holiday season by taking some time out to relax with a Yoga Nidra session.  The holiday’s have us endlessly on the go managing a packed calendar, decorating, gift giving, baking, family events, school events, work events, and so on.  What if you could escape from it all for 90 minutes to return relaxed, focused and present?  This is your answer.
Yoga Nidra, which means yogic sleep, is an ancient technique for entering a deep state of conscious relaxation.  It is a systemic practice of moving awareness from the external world to our internal world.  You will enter a state of consciousness where your senses, intellect and mind relax.  With the resulting reduced brain activity, your body goes into a healing state - one hour of Yoga Nidra can offer the benefits of 4 hours of sleep as your brain goes through the typical sleep brain wave stages in a compressed amount of time.  The benefits of Yoga Nidra include reduced stress, improved concentration, improved memory, activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, improved sleep and more.  Yoga Nidra is a subtle but very power practice that holds the potential to guide our awareness to our most authentic self.

I first practiced Yoga Nidra in April of 2021 at a health resort, having no prior awareness of the practice but yearning for any and all opportunities to get some rest and relaxation.  In that one hour of Yoga Nidra I finally felt my mind relax and let go of all it had been holding on to.  I had no sense of time during the session and left feeling lighter, clearer and more relaxed and rested than I had in years.  I regularly use Yoga Nidra to relax and fall asleep.  After experiencing the benefits of this practice, I sought out Yoga Nidra training and continue to expand my knowledge of this powerful practice.
