Before we lose an hour, take tiime out for Yoga Nidra to rest and relax. One hour of Nidra can be as beneficial as 4 hours of sleep.
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a guided meditation that will shift you to the state of consciousness between waking and sleeping (hypnagogic state). Using props, you will rest in a cozy and comfortable savasana position. Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system and settles the active, or conscious mind (the mind that is constantly thinking, tracking, reminding, etc…), allowing you to relax and connect with your true self. This connection is found through withdrawal from external awareness and the external environment, also known as Pratyahara. Expect to experience extreme relaxation and calm.
